San Domenico Golf, a Mediterranean course ranked among the best in Italy, is an 18-hole championship club on the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. The course, which will host the grand finale of the PGA European Challenge Tour, stretches over 6300 meters of lush terrain with rolling Bermuda grass and offers views of the sea from every point.
The course is perfectly integrated in the natural Puglian context: enriched with olive trees of rare beauty and dotted with the colors and scents of the typical Mediterranean Maquis such as thyme, rosemary and sage. Also the choice of the grass is very accurate: the bermuda for the fairways, the festuca for the roughs, while the greens are made with the classic pencross variety. The 18-hole, Par 71 course is 6,192 metres in length, and has been specifically designed to harmoniously bring together the natural elements of the terrain with the types of shots to be made, thus encouraging players to use all the fourteen irons and woods in their bags.
