Casa de Campo Resort & Villas opened in La Romana, almost 50 years ago, as the first resort in the Dominican Republic. We have been a favorite luxury destination for discerning travelers and celebrities who relish the private gated community for its safe and exclusive setting. We are known as the best golf resort in the world. The activities are world-class — 8 outstanding restaurants including the stunning Minitas Beach Club, a Marina, Equestrian Center featuring Polo, Shooting Course, great shopping, and 3 private pristine white sand beaches. If you want the best, the most, and the first in the Caribbean, your Casa de Campo experience awaits in La Romana for you to experience privacy as the new luxury.
Located in the interior of the property is the resort’s third exceptional Pete Dye-designed layout, The Links. The moderately hilly layout with tall Bahia grass framing bunkers and undulating greens presents spectacular test of Caribbean golf. The challenging putting surfaces and green complexes showcase the artistry of Dye’s genius. Playing from slightly over 6,700 yards from the back tees, it is considered one of the most-playable courses Dye has designed.
Reminiscent of traditional links courses typically found in the British Isles, these 18 holes wind through the interior of Casa de Campo and offer spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the Resort grounds. The Links golf course provides plenty of opportunity to admire the sea — as no less than five holes feature water hazards. Rolling hills and ocean views offer a unique and fun golf experience. This Caribbean golf course is rooted in the natural landscape it was built upon.
Another Pete Dye creation, The Links was completely overhauled in 2012 to make it every bit as challenging as the other courses at Casa de Campo.
Pete Dye’s signature golf course, Teeth of the Dog has a reputation that’s well deserved. Meticulously hand carved from the rugged rock and coral of the Dominican coastline, the hard-fought and challenging creation of Teeth of the Dog is an apt description for what playing a round can be like. The course is brimming with stunning natural landscapes, historical undertones, and the chance to play your best game yet. Ranked first in the Caribbean, this golf course in paradise should be on every golfer’s bucket list. Don’t settle for less when you have the opportunity to play on the best.
Make no mistake, if you dare challenge the Dog it will bite back. But your efforts will be rewarded with 18 jaw-droppingly-beautiful holes—including seven right along the ocean—and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve played one of the best golf courses in the world.
Twenty-seven-hole Dye Fore joined Teeth of the Dog in 2002. Its three nines – Chavon, Marina and Lagos– are distinct. Chavon features 5 cliff side holes dropping 300 feet, Marina plays down the Chavon rivers and offers panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the Marina at Casa de Campo. Characterised by spectacular views of the Dominican mountains, the Chavón River, the Marina, and Altos de Chavón, this challenging cliff-side course is a delight for players of all levels. The signature challenges on Dye Fore golf course are matched by its subtle historic influences, ultimately creating a course that incorporates the past and present Dominican landscape. These defining features make Dye Fore golf course a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
