Royal Golf Club Mariánské Lázně golf course is a classic style of the Scottish and Irish courses of the turn of the century. The 18-hole course lies at the foot of Slavkov Forest, 787 m above sea level and is largely on flat land.
It was founded in 1905 and is one of the oldest courses in our country. The course was founded and ceremonially opened on 21.8.1905 by King Edward VII of England. After cutting the ribbon, the King signed the memorial book with his golden pen and became the first founding member of the club.
Mariánské Lázně Golf Club is the only club in Central Europe that can boast such a significant history. The club became the venue for the world's most important amateur competition - the European Amateur Team Championship. The indisputable highlight of this history is the club's right to use the title 'Royal Golf Club', generously awarded by the British Queen Elizabeth II in 2003 and followed by a visit of His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.
